Spring is around the corner, and so is our Battersea Fair! Join us from 10 – 13 March in Battersea Park to discover 1,000s of contemporary artworks, from cutting-edge sculptures to awe-inspiring landscapes. There’s something to fit every art lover’s dream.
This fair you’re in for a treat as we’re joined by 15 new exhibitors, hailing from all over the world. Learn more about them and their diverse styles and range of work, as we map our new exhibitors from across the UK and beyond.
We are delighted to present a fantastic array of international galleries to Battersea Spring, including four first-time exhibitors. If you’re a regular to our New York fairs, you might have spotted ARTCODE stateside last year – but 2022 will mark their UK Affordable debut. Based in New York and Mexico, ARTCODE specialise in showcasing artists from the Mexican state of Yucatán, including, Samantha Michell and Gabriel Ramirez Aznar. Their works explore themes of freedom, diversity, sustainability and personal expression, with striking abstracts and a bold colour palette. Also new to Battersea is Deodato Arte, based in Italy, with a unique blend of Pop and Street Art. Look out for Daniele Fortuna’s reimagined classical sculptures (pictured). Whilst Siger Gallery are based in London, their artists hail from all over the world, including Mutalib Man of Malaysia, and Spanish multimedia artist Susana Sanroman. Galerie Makowski join us from Berlin featuring German artists Thorsten Poersch and Susan Sieg.
Closer to home, we welcome four new London-based galleries this spring. Contemporary Art Keen Enthusiast, or C-A-K-E for short, are well worth a stop on your fair visit. Look out for works by fine art photographer, Simon McCheung, whose magical, dreamlike scenarios are evocative of the work of Tim Walker, and often Simon uses himself as the subject. Based in the heart of Mayfair, Brook Street Gallery focus on leading new Russian artists. Look out for works by Mila Morton, whose graphic works explore patterns in the world around us, and ceramicist and sculptor, Ludmila Krutikova. Boasting an international roster of artists is Gabriel Fine Arts, an online gallery with a vision to empower artists and creative communities whilst promoting connectivity and diversity in the arts. Laura I Contemporary (stand L9) from East London also use art as a catalyst to promote inclusion, social justice and diversity, showcasing a range of new artists at the fair.
Two new galleries join us from Northern England and Scotland this fair: Hancock Gallery from Newcastle and Heriot from Edinburgh. Doubling as an art gallery and art advisory, Hancock are specialists in contemporary and Modernist Art, with over 12 years’ experience working with collectors. If you’re looking to start your art collection, head to Hancock’s stand (C8) for some top tips.
The hotly anticipated Heriot Gallery join us from their home in Edinburgh, bringing with them a selection of stunning works. Look out for the photorealist work of artist and gallerist Angela Reilly, with captivating figurative paintings of the human body in all its realness, and evocative floral studies by Kirsty Lorenz.
From historic Woodstock, Darl-e and the Bear have buckets of character, with fresh and innovative artworks in a huge variety of mediums. Phillipa Paterson’s exquisite paintings are ones to look out for if you like figurative studies. No Naked Walls, from Guildford, have a clear mission – to fill your walls with beautiful art, specialising in stunning landscapes. It’s a family affair with Forest Gallery – this family-run gallery has been selling the best in affordable paintings and sculptures for over 40 years, based in West Sussex.
